PATTAYA WIDOW VICTIM OF SNEAK THIEF

A burglar managed to get into a widow’s house by sneakily forcing open a metal gate and sliding glass door and ripped off 525 grams worth of gold and 10,000 Baht, while the occupant was absent. The police suspect a close friend of being the perpetrator.

On 25 July, at 01.10 am, Pol.Lt.Col. Samran Kamwatana, Pattaya, Pol.Maj.Chaigrit Thong-in and a fingerprint officer went to investigate a report of a break-in at a house in South Pattaya where the occupant, Mrs. Patum Sornrat (47), originally from Samutprakarn province, anxiously awaited them.

She told the officers that the house had been subject to a break-in and a dressing-table drawer in the bedroom had been rifled with 10,000 baht cash, gold accessories to the tune of 525 grams and another 5 Buddha... more
