On Monday Afternoon we joined a team of Navy Rescue Officers as they responded to an emergency call from a Panamanian Cargo Vessel which was situated 93 Nautical Miles off the Coast of Rayong. The Chief Engineer of the vessel was suffering from an acute Cardiac Condition which required immediate evacuation to a medical facility. We joined a team of Navy Medics on a Seahawk Helicopter as it sped to the Cargo Ship. The Chief Engineer, Mr. Marasigan Manolo Leyes aged 49 from the Philippines was in a serious condition and was intubated at the scene, before he was taken to the Queen Sirigit Hospital in Sattahip where he remains in a serious condition... more
