In the early hours of Thursday Morning, Police Lieutenant Colonel Santi from Pattaya Police Station was called to Soi Potisan 25 in Naklua, after a patrol unit spotted a Green Volvo parked on the street. Inside the vehicle were two men and a woman who appeared nervous when Police approached. They were ordered to exit the car and a search of each individual along with the car took place. The search uncovered an AK-47 with a cartridge containing 6 Bullets hidden in the boot of the car. Khun Nopagow aged 37 confessed to owning the weapon, who was subsequently arrested.
The other man in the car, Khun Tirasak aged 20 and the woman were taken to the Police Station but were later released. Khun Nopagow explained to Police that he purchased the Gun from a friend for 4,000 Baht and intended to use the weapon for his own protection.
