KENYAN RUNNERS SWEPT PATTAYA MARATHON 2007 (MALE) TROPHIES

Like every year, the racing started at 4.20 am to avoid the warmth and humidity of the day. Kenyan runners are again dominated the main Pattaya Marathon as expected.
On15th July, Pattaya Marathon, kicked off at the unusual but reasonable time of 4.20am in front of Soi 4 on Pattaya Beach Road. The crowd of more than 10,000 runners and athletes from across the globe both from national and international level joined the running. Especially, this year is considered to be another auspicious year as the people of Thailand jointly celebrate together as a nation upon His Majesty‘s the King ‘s 80th anniversary.

The event was divided into 5 categories, long Marathon with running distance of 42.195 km, commencing at 4.30 hrs., Half Marathon with a distance of 21.100 km., commencing at 5.00 hrs., and Quarter Marathon for a distance of 10.550 km., commencing at 5.30 hrs, and finally a Student Category, with distance of 5.00 km., commencing at 06.00 hrs.... more
