SNEAK THIEF STABS GRANDMOTHER AND STEALS 40,000 BAHT’S WORTH OF MOBILE PHONES

News published :2007-07-18 21:36:52

A hooded man sneaked through the 3rd Floor window of a 4 storey shop house, just past midnight, tied up a 73-year-old grandmother, and viciously assaulted and stabbed her more than 10 times, early this morning. The criminal escaped with his plunder of 7 mobile phones, worth approximately 40,000 Baht.

On 18 July, at 00.30 am, Pol.Lt. The owner, Mrs. Ame-Orn Sirarom (73), had apparently been subjected to a vicious attack by an unknown assailant, who had entered the building by the 3rd Floor window. He had evidently surprised the old lady, beaten her up when she attempted to resist, tied the rope round her and then stabbed her 10 times in a frenzied attack. He had then stolen 7 mostly expensive, second-hand mobile phones, such as Nokia N70, 7610, and 6681, worth about 40,000 Baht and subsequently escaped via the roof...

Fighter Plane Parts discovered on Jomtien Beach.

News published :2007-07-17 20:49:52

An unusual discovery was made on Tuesday Afternoon on Jomtien Beach which created quite a stir. A number of parts from a plane were discovered near the shoreline and from information we have received, it appears they are engine parts from fighter plans belonging to Thailand and someone at the scene mentioned the plane crashed into the waters off Jomtien back in 1964, however we are unsure if this was an accident or a crash due to a conflict.

We looked back in the History books and the only war taking place at that time was the Vietnam War between 1959 and 1975. We have also discovered that a private company wanted to remove the Thai fighter plane from the waters off Jomtien some years ago but were refused because the plane is deemed as government property. The plane parts washed up on Tuesday were later collected by Navy Officers from Sattahip.
