CHONBURI TIGHTENS UP HIGH RISE FIRE DRILLS TO REASSURE PUBLIC

Chonburi province, which earns 60,000 million Baht from tourism annually, is making strenuous efforts to reassure tourists and the public in general that they are capable of tackling fires in high rise buildings

A meeting to this end was held on 11th July at Pattaya Park Beach Hotel, chaired by Mr.Komsan Akachai, Deputy Mayor of Chonburi with Mr.Ronagit Akasing, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City and other interested parties.

With high rises being built constantly, especially within the environs of Pattaya and the previous incidence of high rise fires and consequent loss of life, notably at Pattaya Plaza Complex, the authorities recognize the necessity honing up the fire fighting skills of the respective fire departments in the Chonburi province area and enlisting the co-operation of those in potential hazard zones... more
